Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring near a well-attended southern California coastline suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, ultimately descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage posted on social media depict the aircraft starting to spin above the shoreline then falling towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters said five people were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on that day.
Three people on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
